So, what is this Wiki about?

This wiki is the support website of the PLi® development team. We develop alternative firmware for linux based DVB receivers but on this wiki we will only be discussing firmware images (software) for the Dream Multi Media(DM) set top boxes . Currently, we support theVu+ Duo set top boxes and the DreamBox series of DVB-S2, DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T receivers. We do not support the new DM100 series of set top boxes (as they are not linux based)

Please understand that;

our PLi® software is tested on and only made for the original Vu+ Duo and DM boxes, and it is important you understand this fact. Other (alternative) boxes may have some incompatibilities, but we can't design for that. Although at the moment there are no plans to support other brands of receivers, this might change in the future.

I'm a developer, is there any technical info available from the PLi® team?

Welcome and tell your developer friends about us

Yes and welcome aboard! If you have specific question, you can use our PLi® Third Party Development forum to ask it. You will find we are most accommodating.

The software released by the PLi® development team is based on the original Enigma software, see http://cvs.tuxbox.org. When and where possible, we will commit changes we make back to the Enigma CVS, to allow others to benefit from our work, and to comply with the GPL license under which Enigma is released.

Some features however are copyright the PLi® development team. Here you will find the technical information on how to use these features.
1. The SQLite EPG Store
2. How to make a PLi® compatible skin's
3. The PPanel specification and examples
4. The new caPMT interface specification
5. The new OpenPLi Software repository details
