Welcome to PLi® Wiki

It is our goal to make this PLi® WikiPedia:Wiki into a real knowledge base, with all information imaginable about both the Dreambox and the PLi® firmware images. To archieve this goal, we need your help. All members of this website have write access to this PLi® WikiPedia:Wiki, and can create new pages or update existing pages. When you want to do this, please read the FormattingRules first.

Please don't abuse your access. If you do, we can revoke your write access, or block you as a spammer.

So, what is this website about?

This website is the support website of the PLi® development team. We develop alternative firmware for linux based DVB receivers but on this wiki we will only be discussing images for the Dream Multi Media set top boxes . Currently, we support the Dreambox series of DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T receivers.

Our images were tested on and made for the original Dreamboxes only, and it is important you understand this fact. Other (alternative) boxes may have some incompatibilities, but we can't design for that. Altough at the moment there are no plans to support other brands of receivers, this might change in the future.

How do I install the latest PLi® image on my DM box?

On this site you will find the explanation of the different methods of installing a new image onto many set top boxes, that our images currently support. Simply click on the model number to learn howto -1. Install the latest image 2. Once you have installed the latest image, set it up for the first time
