Xtrend ET9x00
Flash an image via USB
It is very simple to flash your Xtrend ET9X00 receiver using an USB stick. Just follow these instructions: Download and unzip the file from http://openpli.org/download/xtrend/et9x00/.
- Copy the folder on an FAT32 formatted USB-Device and plug it in before booting.
- Unzip compressed file.
- Copy the "ET9000" folder to a USB Pen Drive.
- Power off or reboot the receiver with the mains switch on the rear. Connect USB Pen Drive.
- Power on receiver with the mains switch on the rear.
- After rebooting or cold start a message like 'image found, press ok' appears on the screen.
- After pressing 'ok' a message appears 'Update in progress'.
- After the update is ready the receiver will reboot automatically.
- You could remove the USBstick first or you just wait.
- Follow the procedure on the screen.
- After making the right choices your box will be ready with new firmware.
In case you have made a backup with the Autobackup plugin, the procedure is as follows.
- After you have downloaded and unpacked an image go to 2
- Put the USB stick into the front USB input.
- You'll see a message on the screen like 'no plugins found'.
- Go to menu - plugins - autobackup and change 'Backup location'to media/usb.
- Change 'Create Autoinstall' to 'on'.
- Press the yellow key for a manual backup on the USBstick.
- After the backup has finished push the green key and leave the menu.
- Reboot the box and follow this procedure.
- After rebooting or cold start a message like 'image found, press ok' appears on the screen.
- After flashing the image, the box reboots and if you won't do anything, the box reinstalls completely like it was before.
