PLicons

PLicons are are series of small images or icons that can be downloaded in realtime from our PLi® Software Management services and can be used to make your on screen display (OSD) look more professional by adding the channels icon to your skin, like the example above.

However these Plicons are designed for skins like these two listed below, so you will have to download these skins and select them, click here to learn more

How to download and install these PLicons

Tip: not all the worlds networks are listed at present, but this is due to other issues which will be resolved with time, so remember to update your download menu and see what we have updated.
Tip: DM500, 56xx users - remember these files take up space in your /var directory, so use with care.
Known bugs: Picons may not work if a satellite has both Ku and C band channels

For E2 boxes DM7025, DM800, DM8000 & VU+ DUO only

How to submit your own PLicons to the team

NOTE : THIS PART IS BEING IMPLEMENTED AT THE TIME AND IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

If you have a really nice set of picons of your own, and your want to share it with us in our repository then do the following.

The package you have to deliver is a tar.gz file with the following contents :
--In the root of the tgz there is a file called picons.xref
--In the root of the tgz there is a directory called picons which contains the images.

The picons.xref is built up as follows in where empty lines and lines starting with # are discarded :
# Filename [ NameSpace (Sat position) , SID (Service ID), TSID (transponder ID) , ONID (Network ID) ]

Example :
somepicture.jpg [ 78.5E , 10 , 1 ,1 ]
someotherpicture.jpg [ 77.8W , 10 , 1250 , 64 ]
